Questions and Answers

Below you will find answers to many common questions about Day of Giving.

What does it mean to give to the Saint Francis Fund?

The Saint Francis Fund ensures support for the student programs that engage the next generation of citizens in learning and leadership. We are grateful for your philanthropic spirit.

What is Saint Francis Day of Giving?

The Saint Francis Day of Giving celebrates the philanthropic spirit of our community.  Students, educators, alumni, parents and friends who make meaningful contributions to Saint Francis empower our mission to educate hearts and minds in the Holy Cross tradition.

Why should I participate in Saint Francis Day of Giving?

Since our high school is a non-profit educational organization, we depend on donations to support the Saint Francis Fund, which makes 100+ clubs, honor societies, spirit teams and performance groups possible.

Known for our deep commitment to tuition assistance, your gifts ensure every current student can participate in programs and activities that provide a strong sense of community and belonging at Saint Francis High School.

Every gift in any amount is appreciated!

Can I create a recurring gift on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis?

Yes! Complete the donation form now and click the recurring button below the donate bar. Payments processed from April 1 through May 1 will count toward Saint Francis Day of Giving.

What is the difference between hiding my name on the Donor Wall and making my donation anonymously?

Hiding your name and/or the amount you gave on the donor wall only changes the way your gift is acknowledged on this campaign's page. Your donation may still be acknowledged through Saint Francis annual publications and other methods of recognizing SFHS donors.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Saint Francis High School is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation, and our Federal Tax ID is # 94-1337628. Your gift qualifies for tax deduction in accordance with IRS regulations during the 2025 calendar year. Consult your tax professional for more information. If you make your gift online, you will receive an emailed donation tax receipt. If you choose not to give online, you will receive a mailed donation tax receipt. Please keep your receipt for your 2025 tax preparation.

What if I am experiencing an error on the donation page?

Please delete symbols such as # and & (for example, Anna & Ernie or #234). We have found that this solves most processing issues. If your gift form still is not working, please email us at katelincoln@sfhs.com or call 650-694-6372.
